"Pinkerton" is the band's second album. It was originally published in 1996. The album contains a total of ten songs, including famous classics like "El Scorcho" and "The Good Life". It was recorded at Electric Lady Studios, Fort Apache Studios, Hollywood Sound Recorders and Rumbo Recorders and produced by Weezer himself. The name comes from a character from "Madame Butterfly", the favourite opera of singer Rivers Cuomo. "Pinkerton" is still considered by many fans as the best album of the band.
